My views on pot, medicinal or not should be a legalised substance. I have been a nurse for quite a while now and have seen masive amounts of peoples in pain,, that should have been able to have had that pain eased by this God given plant. if they so chose. As far as recreational use, I feel it is safer in respects of being able to handle oneself, As a mental health drugs it would do(and does do) wonders. Why am I blogging about this you ask? Its because I am a nurse, If I was to get busted with It , I would lose it all , home, car, ect like all of you, but I would also lose my license to practice as a nurse. which I think is total bullshit, just the fact that someone else has this much controll over whether I choose or not to indulge in it,, that is my business, not joe shmoe's up the road. I don't imagine they even get how the body is physically abused by being a nurse, picking up, pushing, pulling, bending, hauling, assults by patients, and the lists goes on. Its not just nurses, its all kinds of occupations, and diseases that cause physical and or mental discomfort to put it mildly. Of course they don't enlighten you of these little ditties because frankly they would not have nurses, firefighters, construction workers ect. you get it, and I say this because I can already hear you saying, well you could of chosen something else to do and I didn't. So just legalised the "shit" ,and I'll shut the hell up and not bitch about how obsurd it is not for it to be legal. Although I choose not to partake in this awesome plant, there are many who can benifit from it, and hey, if so choose to, I want to be able to partake and not have to worry about if I am gonna lose everything I worked so hard for taken away. The political leaders are constantly trying to controll our every move, thought, you name it they got thier hands into regulating our lives, somehow, someway, from watching tv to keep us off the streets, keeping the gas prices up so that we have to stay in our homes, Its all about controll, and who can benifit the most financally, If you are on this site I am sure you have probably read the book A Very Pale Horse, This is a book that everyone needs to read for thier own benifit, to help you realise, that there is so much controll in this country from political choices to something as simple as smoking a plant, to the things you buy. Its a rude awakening,

I agree so much with what You are saying. I believe that it should be a choice for us to make as to what we do.. alcohol is so much worse for someone and has no benefits. States that are struggling could bring their revenue up biig time if they would legalize. So far there are 13 States that have followed suit with California. Hopefully more will.
There are 0 deaths per year caused by Marijuana. The same thing can not be said about alcohol or even tobacco. The marijuana plant can be used for cloth,flour,herbal treatments such as tea, oils, cooking, plastics, even bio fuel.
Medical researchers in Israel have taken a derivitive from the marijuana plant and injected it directly into a tumor, the results were that the tumor was completely killed and did not damage any surrounding cells. It's uses as treatment for depression,nervous disorders, cancer related issues, eating disorders and many more... are phenomenol, no longer requiring prescription meds which can damage your body over time.
The original edict presented to Congress in 1937 by Henry Anslinger was a total mockery of justice .. ( google Henry Anslinger/testimony to congress @ marijuana usage.
What keeps marijuana illegal? Our government hasn't figured out a way to tax and regulate this plant. Also big pharmaceutical companies pay quite a bit to keep it from being legalized nation wide.
I agree about our rights being taken away. What I do at home should be my own business as long as i'm not endangering anyone or myself. People need to speak up and let their thoughts be known to the power's that be... Only with our voices can things be changed.
